E-Course: Renewable Energy Sources in Electricity Markets


Renewable Energy Sources in Electricity Markets: Goals And Conditions For Providing Sustainable Development 

The Clean Energy Solutions Center, an initiative of the Clean Energy Ministerial, has developed a no-cost e-learning course to introduce a range of renewable energy topics, in partnership with the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Energy Working Group and Leonardo Energy. The course is available to anyone via the Leonardo Energy website

The course comprises four modules that cover renewable energy technologies, including power-generation technologies and integrating renewable energy into the power grid; economic regulation of electric utilities, which includes the economics of renewable energy, wholesale power markets, and power system development; policy and regulatory frameworks, with information on renewable energy strategies and policies, feed-in tariff and other support mechanisms, and conditions for success; and energy access through renewable energy.
